About Ketu Kavacham

Ketu Kavacham is one of the most revered devotional hymns in the Hindu tradition, dedicated to Ketu (South Node). Recited by millions of devotees, it invokes divine grace, mental steadiness, and protection from negative influences.

  • Planetary Remedy for Ketu: In Vedic astrology, this hymn is widely recommended during Ketu Mahadasha, Antardasha, or challenging transits to harmonize planetary energy and reduce karmic pressure.

Benefits of Recitation

  • Protects during Ketu Mahadasha and spiritual transitions
  • Removes hidden enemies, accidents, and mysterious afflictions
  • Supports moksha-oriented remedies alongside material stability
  • Destroys diseases per the phalashruti when worn or chanted daily

Best Time and Method

Chant on Tuesday or during Ketu's hora. Recite all six verses daily during Ketu Mahadasha. Offer multi-coloured flowers and blanket (kambal) daan on Tuesdays. Pair with Ganesha worship for obstacle removal.

Astrological Significance

Regular recitation aligns the mind with dharmic discipline — the foundation of all Vedic remedies. Pair this practice with honest conduct, seva (selfless service), and consistency rather than fear-based ritual alone.
