Which gemstone suits your kundli?

Enter your birth details. We find your Lagna lord, the traditional life stone, and the supportive stones of your 5th and 9th lords, and flag the planets whose stones are usually avoided.

Place of birth

Search your birth city and pick it from the list.

Use the local time shown on the birth certificate. The ascendant changes about every two hours and the Moon's nakshatra about once a day, so a few minutes can matter.

How gemstones are chosen in Vedic astrology

Each of the nine grahas has a traditional gemstone. A stone is meant to strengthen its planet, so the first question is which planets are your friends in this chart. The most common starting point is the lord of your Lagna, whose stone supports you as a whole.

The lords of the 5th and 9th houses, the trikona houses of merit and fortune, are the other supportive choices. The lords of the 6th, 8th and 12th houses are usually not strengthened.

Wearing a gemstone safely

  • Check the whole chart first, including the planet's placement and the running dasha.
  • Start with a natural, certified stone of good clarity and wear it on the traditional day.
  • Stop wearing it if you feel uneasy. A stone is a support, not a requirement.

A kundli is a traditional tool for reflection and guidance. It is not a prediction you must accept, and it does not replace medical, legal or financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my lucky gemstone?

Enter your birth details in the tool. It finds your Lagna lord, whose stone is the traditional life stone, and the lords of your 5th and 9th houses, whose stones are supportive.

Is the birthstone by month the same as the Vedic gemstone?

No. Western birthstones follow the month of birth. Vedic gemstones follow your kundli, specifically the lords of key houses, so two people born in the same month can need different stones.

Which gemstone should I never wear?

Traditionally the stones of the 6th, 8th and 12th house lords are avoided, and a stone for a planet badly placed in your chart should not be worn without a reading. The tool flags these for you.

Can I wear a gemstone without consulting an astrologer?

This tool gives a first, general suggestion. A full chart check is still wise, especially for Blue Sapphire and Hessonite, which can act strongly.

Which finger is each gemstone worn on?

Traditionally: ruby and red coral on the ring finger, pearl, emerald and cat's eye on the little finger, yellow sapphire on the index finger, and diamond, blue sapphire and hessonite on the middle finger. The tool shows this for each stone.

Do gemstones really work?

Gemstones are a traditional remedy, and there is no scientific proof that they change events. Many people find them a helpful focus and reminder. Treat them as a support alongside effort, not a replacement for it.

A stone should only be worn after your whole chart is checked. Book a consultation to confirm which gemstone, if any, truly suits you.
