Frequently asked questions
What is Mulank in numerology?
Mulank (birth number) is your day of birth reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9. For example, someone born on the 29th has Mulank 2 (2 + 9 = 11, 1 + 1 = 2). It describes your basic nature and the way you act in daily life.
How do I calculate Bhagyank?
Add every digit of your full date of birth (day, month and year) and reduce to a single digit. For 29-11-1990: 2+9+1+1+1+9+9+0 = 32, and 3 + 2 = 5, so Bhagyank is 5. It shows your life direction and the opportunities that come to you.
Which is more important: Mulank or Bhagyank?
Both matter. Mulank shows who you are and how you behave; Bhagyank shows the path life takes you on. Many numerologists read them together: if their ruling grahas are friendly the two support each other, and if they are inimical you may feel an inner tug-of-war.
Why does Indian numerology use the Chaldean table?
The Chaldean system assigns values 1–8 to letters by sound rather than by alphabetical order, which suits the phonetic tradition of Indian names. Mulank and Bhagyank are identical in Chaldean and Pythagorean systems; only the name number differs. Our calculator uses Chaldean by default and lets you switch to Pythagorean.
Which name should I use for Namank?
Use the name you are actually known by and sign with in daily life, in English letters. If you use a nickname professionally, you can check both. For Hindi names we convert Devanagari to the usual English spelling, but your own spelling (Sunil, Suneel) can change the result, so type it the way you write it.
